11 Years! Can you believe how fast the time goes? The pictures were taken by Jacob who is 9. We feel blessed with health, happiness and support from our loving family and friends.

I feel for the families who were evacuated in Texas over the past few days. We're getting the (comparatively mild) fallout rain from Ike up here, and I have the pictures to prove it.

Labor Day Weekend

We had a plan. We were going to have a low-key Labor Day weekend. Just hang out as a family and enjoy each other's company. But I can't sit still for very long, so on Saturday we took our kids, our Au Pair Melissa and her boyfriend CJ, to the Naperville Fling. You may wonder, what is the Labor Day Weekend Naperville Fling? It is where sad people go when they realize summer is truly over and spend a gawd-awful amount of money on Carnival Rides. Hey, but we had fun and I have pictures to prove it!

Isabel is an adventurous girl and decided to go on the Dragon Rollercoaster with Aidan. Later, she opted to go on Frog Hopper even when her sister bailed.



I think Caity was able to brave some of the rides so she was not left out. I am still shocked that she went on the mini-ferris wheel with Isabel.

The last time we saw CJ, the girls were not even three and language was just getting into full gear. So, he continues to be called CJake.
